“We enjoyed our stay immensely! The views on all three decks greeted us every morning. It was a great way to start the day! My whole family also loved the game room. We played pool, foosball and darts. It was so nice to be disconnected from technology, though the WIFI was great when we did need to use it. The house was clean, and the owner was quick to respond to any questions. Not only was this home top notch, we also felt the owner was extremely honorable with his communication, and responsiveness to emails. He also gave great recommendations on hikes, and activities in the area. We had a great time!” - Melody

“My family chose this cabin for a mountain getaway to bring together people from out of the state. The cabin was gorgeous inside and out with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Jeff was also extremely responsive and accommodating of our requests. The foosball table and hot tub were a big hit. Although what really topped it off was the amazing long-range mountain views at sunset! We are already planning our next trip back to this cabin!” - Katherine

“Absolutely wonderful cabin with every amenity you could ever need! Our family of 6 had an awesome vacation at this secluded and beautiful mountain paradise. Photos really don’t do it justice. The evening views were spectacular watching the sunset on the balcony. The surrounding area had so much to do, lots of hiking and nature activities. We will definitely be revisiting this cabin in the future! The host, Jeff, really took the time to make sure the cabin is a home away from home.” - Anna

“We could not have picked a better cabin for a weekend getaway. Even though this cabin is only 90 minutes from home, it was incredibly peaceful. The pictures do not do the view or the cabin justice. Waking up every morning to sit out back with your coffee or watching the sunset from the porch, both were breathtaking. The cabin literally has everything you need and Jeff(host extraordinaire) goes out of his way to ensure you can find it with clear directions, has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. From the firepit, to the jacuzzi, to the board games, and other fun stuff down stairs, Jeff has made this place an outstanding choice for a getaway with friends or family! We will definitely be booking this cabin again!” - Michael

“I cannot say enough about the Sunset Mountain Lodge. The location of the cabin was perfect, far enough in the mountains away from the sounds of the city, but yet, a short drive to restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, etc. The cabin itself was beautiful, with spectacular views and cozy accommodations. I took pictures of every sunset during our stay..but I feel pictures just don't capture the true beauty. Although, there are lots of places to explore in Blue Ridge, we were perfectly content staying in for at least half of our time here. We played pool, foosball, cornhole, giant jenga, wii, and board games. We vegged out on the balcony chair swings and we melted our stress away in the hot tub. There is a magnificent fireplace that's perfect for gatherings, a full size BBQ pit and a kitchen that has just about all the utensils and cookware you need to make and bake a full meal. There were also personal touches all over that made everything extra cozy, like a bundle of wood for the fireplace/fireplace, scented candles in the cabinet, and a hot tub cleaned and heated to perfection. We even received a welcome card handwritten to us, which I really loved. Communication with Jeff was just a text or call away. He was ready to help with anything, even with recommendations for local outings. Mountain getaways is something we've always loved doing and have done several over the years. The Sunset Mountain Lodge is now, by far, our favorite one. Thanks again!”
